Good reasons to choose the Home of the Town Musicians
The Town Musicians of Bremen are known world-wide. Their plan of travelling to Bremen is still a really good idea. Bremen's urban diversity, vibrant culture and laid-back, tolerant atmosphere are what makes the city so fascinating.
With its well-established congress infrastructure and the integrated offer of exciting locations, hotels, restaurants and service providers, Bremen still stands out as the ideal place to hold events, congresses and meetings in the North West of Germany.
Bremen Exhibition & Conference Centre
A convincing reason to choose Bremen: Bremen's Exihibition & Conference Centre occupies a central position in the city centre, right next to the main railway station. Its site offers a plethora of options for events, with its flexible room partitioning system and more than 2,500 parking spaces right at the door. No matter whether your event is for 50 or 10,000 participants, the various options offered by the centre's 27 rooms and halls can accommodate everyone easily under the same roof.
So many roads lead to Bremen! The main railway station and main bus station are right in the heart of the city. Bremen's international airport has direct flights to all of Europe's major transit hubs. If you take the tram from the airport, you'll be in the city centre in an unbeatable 11 minutes! The A1 and A27 motorways are Bremen's links to long-distance routes. If you arrive by car, you'll find plenty of parking spaces right by the Exhibition & Conference Centre. Alternatively, simply follow the signs to other locations and multi-storey car parks.
Getting around Bremen without a car is easy and convenient. The public transport network (locally called the "ÖPNV") will take you to all the city's sights without any fuss. If your participants have an ÖPNV "Kongressticket" (congress ticket), they can use the public transport network free of charge. Bremen's extensive network of cycle paths and car-free zones make it the most bicycle-friendly major city in Germany. You'll find bikes to hire or e-scooters dotted around the entire city centre if you suddenly get the urge to travel on two wheels.
The Exhibition & Conference Centre is only two minutes by foot from the main railway station and the verdant spaces of the Bürgerpark. Many hotels are within a few minutes walk, so you can also enjoy strolling around the historical city centre in the evening. Alternatively, you can wander along the Weserpromenade Schlachte and discover its bars and restaurants.
You can also reach all the city's cultural and historic highlights and attend fringe events easily, either by foot or by public transportation. These short routes are one of the reasons our guests and event participants quickly feel so much at home in Bremen. Making sure there's time for the important things.
The links between Bremen's people and its institutions are also remarkably short. We know who we are, and we all help each other. Questions and requests are often quickly resolved by simply making a phone call. Working closely together enables the Bremen Convention Bureau, the Bremen Exhibition & Conference Centre (CCB), our local hotels, restaurants and cafés and tourism service providers to bring their years of experience to bear and ensure the preparations for your event run as effectively and smoothly as possible.

Bremen's cityscape boasts so many elegant green spaces, idyllic parks and enchanting gardens that it is rightly known as one of the greenest cities in Germany. You'll be able to enjoy nature right on your doorstep in the city's "green oases" like the Bürgerpark, the Wallanlagen, Knoops-Park, Werdersee, Blockland and the Osterdeich which runs directly along the Weser.
Sustainability and acting responsibly to protect nature and the environment are major topics of concern in the event management industry. The Bremen Convention Bureau will be happy to help you create a sustainable event plan.
Bremen's cultural diversity encompasses both the "old masters" and the "wild youth". The city's cultural mile, with the famous Kunsthalle (art museum) Bremen, the Gerhard-Marcks sculpture museum and the Design Centre are all well worth a visit. Right next door, in the Theater Bremen, you'll see that all the world really is a stage. Only a few steps further, down to the riverbank, you'll find where Bremen's citizens enjoy their biggest open air festival, the Breminale, every summer. Exuberant acrobats come to perform at the annual La Strada street circus event and Bremen's music festival in September brings together music in all its forms: orchestral, chamber music, opera, jazz and world music. The Hanseatic city on the Weser is full of life and surprises.
The foundations of Bremen's traditional cuisine have been influenced by its proximity to the sea, its trading heritage and links to rural life. You'll find hearty sailor's fare such as Labskaus (meat stew) or Knipp (sausage with groats and meat), freshly caught fish and North Sea shrimps from the coast. Refined chocolate treats, vintage wines, full-bodied coffee, refreshing beers – all things to try if you want to truly experience the spirit of the Weser metropolis. Explore the excitingly diverse range of cuisines in the bars and restaurants in different neighbourhoods, and don't forget the tasting sessions offered by many of Bremen's food and drink manufacturers.
